Questions importing partners most often ask when they start working with Nam Ha Highfarm.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum varies by item and by shipping mode. Fresh produce in reefer containers is normally quoted by the container; frozen items and green coffee are more flexible. Send a request for quotation with the item and market and we will confirm the specifics.
How long from order confirmation to delivery?
It depends on whether the item is in season. In season, preparation time is short because the harvest schedule is already set. Out of season we would rather propose a frozen alternative or schedule for the next cycle than accept an order we cannot reliably ship.
Can you pack under our own label?
Yes. Carton specification, net weight and labelling are agreed order by order. Own-label requirements should be raised early so packaging materials can be prepared before the season starts.
Can we request samples before contracting?
Yes. Samples are prepared to the specification intended for the commercial shipment so the assessment reflects what you would actually receive. For fresh produce, sample timing depends on the season.
Which Incoterms do you work with?
We work with the terms commonly used in the produce trade. The specific term and port of delivery are agreed at quotation stage.
How is produce stored and shipped?
Fresh produce ships in reefer containers set to the temperature appropriate for the item; frozen items ship in freezer containers. Some high-value or short-shelf-life items can move by air.
Can we trace a specific shipment?
Yes. Every lot carries a code linked to the source orchard, harvest date, inspection results and the packing specification actually used. On request we provide the record for the exact lot you received.
What happens if a shipment does not meet specification?
Please notify us with photographs and the lot code as soon as you find the issue. We check it against that lot record to establish the cause and agree the remedy under the terms of the contract.
